Livestream Bandwidth Requirements

Note: Devices or computers on the same WiFi network would share the total upload bandwidth on the network for other purposes such as sharing photos, sharing a presentation, etc. This means that you might require your internet connection to be higher than the recommended upload speed to accommodate such other bandwidth usage.

AWS IVS

The following recommendations are the minimum required upload speed (bitrate) needed for client side streaming to AWS IVS.

Agora

The following Video and Audio Profiles are meant to be the guideline for the minimum network bandwidth required to stream to Agora. A good baseline bandwidth would be 540p which requires a minimum of 1100 Kbps. Anything higher would translate to better stream quality. Video and Audio Profile bitrates combined are the minimum upload speed required.
